I’m not adverse to no-granite countertops if they’re really sharp, and often spend time on the net – and in the real world – taking note of interesting surfaces.
That brings me to this recent article about putting the “kitsch” back in your kitchen and these embossed-style countertops.
Try something fresh and unique like the Motivo embossed collection by CaesarStone. The material is primarily advertised as a wall treatment, but Carrino used it as a surface for kitchen countertops.
“We saw it and bought it on the spot,” he said. “We designed it into the first kitchen we could find. It is absolutely gorgeous.”
Absolutely an interesting look if you’re going for that elusive, intangible quality known as “kitsch”.
